Review of El Dorado Casitas Royale by Myra Sullivan 8/12/19
We spent the first week of August 2019 at the El Dorado Casitas in Riviera Maya. The features of this resort are wonderful.
Upon arrival we were welcomed by a friendly staff, then swiftly taken to our check-in at the Casitas Lounge. Unlike other resorts, the process was personal and quick. We were then shuttled around the resort where features of the resort were pointed out and met our concierge, Tuledo. He was very helpful and friendly.
Our room was amazing! From the king-sized bed, to the two-person jacuzzi, to the outdoor shower, first class all the way. The bed was comfortable with just the right amount of bedding and pillows that we chose. Our favorite part of our room was the balcony with a bed, sitting area, and sheer curtains for privacy. From the balcony our view of the beach and ocean was incredible!
Many resorts require formal dinner attire and reservations for their better restaurants. My husband was thrilled he was able to dress in nice casual attire for dinner. There were only a couple of restaurants that required a reservation because of limited seating. One of these was the Fuentes dinner show. We had the opportunity to see how to prepare the 4-course meal that was served, pair wine to each part of the meal, and enjoy live entertainment.
I simply can’t say enough about how nice and friendly everyone working at the resort was. Anything we asked for was provided quickly, including beach towels, drinks on the beach and at the bars, even the food at the restaurant was served fresh, made to our specifications, and promptly. There are bars all over the resort that allow the opportunity for making new friends and connecting with old friends or family.
Entertainment was top notch. There was a variety of music genres offered each night and a variety of vendors selling local handmade souvenirs. One night they had a Mexican Fiesta with a large variety of authentic Mexican foods including the best roasted pork I’ve ever had! They had a mariachi band and a dance performance that featured dances and costumes from all the regions of Mexico and was incredible.
Best of the Best is my opinion of this resort. Best rooms, best food, best service, best resort I have had the privilege to stay at. That’s saying a lot because we have been traveling since 2001.
